Janette Madison named BSD 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year

Brandywine School District is proud to announce Janette Madison, a math teacher at Springer Middle School, as the 2024-2025 District Teacher of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding educators who have inspired a love for learning in their students and have made significant contributions to their schools and communities.
Ms. Madison has been a teacher at Springer Middle School of the Brandywine School District since 2005 and has been instrumental in fostering an environment of academic excellence and innovation. A National Board-Certified Teacher (NBCT) since 2017, Ms. Madison has implemented a variety of dynamic teaching strategies that accommodate diverse learning styles and promote critical thinking.
Throughout her career, Ms. Madison has not only demonstrated a profound dedication to her students’ success but has also encouraged them to pursue their passions and interests. Her commitment extends beyond the classroom through her involvement in Springer’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Team and School Advisory Team, along with serving as the 8th-grade Co-Team Leader.
"Choosing just one teacher each year is incredibly challenging given the many devoted educators in our district," said Brandywine School District Superintendent Lincoln Hohler. "Janette Madison’s ability to connect with students and inspire them to achieve their best truly embodies the spirit and values of the Brandywine School District.
