February is Black History Month, and our schools throughout BSD are celebrating and supporting this important recognition.
We'll be sharing content on our social media channels throughout the month showcasing the projects and events taking place at all of our schools.
Claymont Elementary School has already started recognition events. The school once again held their annual Black History Month Mural Design Contest. In total, four students in grades 2 – 5 had their designs selected.
Winners Rukmini Appalla, Anvika Beher, Magathi Devendran, and Sarah Gaspar Raja have their beautiful murals on display on the front windows of the main entrance to the school.
