Hello Bush Families,
I am very excited to be taking on the position of Principal of the Bush Early Education Center! I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with an extremely dedicated staff and families committed to supporting their children. My official start date is July 1st, 2022. I have been the Assistant Principal at Bush since February of 2021. While I know I will have big shoes to fill, I have been working with Ms. Kris Viar to make for a smooth transition.
This will be my eighteenth year in education. I have worked with students ranging in age from toddler through 5th grade in a variety of roles. My passion has always been early childhood and supporting students with unique learning needs. My positions include; a special education teacher, a regular education teacher, an Early Childhood Instructional Coach, a Special Education Coordinator, as well an Elementary School Assistant Principal. I am thrilled to be taking on this new role and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.
On a personal note, I grew up in Delaware and recently moved back to Delaware with my husband and two sons. My boys are 9 and 11 years old. As a family, we love baseball, camping, and trips to the beach.
I consider myself to be a life-long learner and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of Bush as I transition into this role. For many of you, Bush will be your child’s first school experience. It is my goal to collaborate with you and support you to ensure that their experience is as positive and successful as possible. I believe that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. The relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students. I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. I look forward to our work together!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Haley Watson
Principal
