    *Please note: when filling out the registration information, parents/guardians can NOT be listed as emergency contacts. This designation is meant for individuals who are NOT the parents/guardians in the event the parents/guardians can not be reached.*

    Registering for kindergarten? Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before August 31 of the school year in order to start school. Kindergarten registration follows the same process detailed below. For more information about kindergarten in BSD, please click here.

    Please note that you must register in your feeder school before you apply for School Choice.

    Looking for information regarding foreign exchange students?  

    Please note that in order for a foreign exchange student to attend Brandywine School District, the student and their family must go thru The Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET). For more information, email east@iseusa.org

  • The fine print:

    Only a legal parent, guardian, relative caregiver, or Division of Family Services (DFS) employee on behalf of a foster parent can register a child.  A caregiver must complete a Delaware Relative Caregivers' School Affidavit.  For more information on who can register a child in BSD, please click here.
