Meet Mr. McDermott

  • July 20, 2019

    Dear Forwood Elementary Families,

It is my privilege to welcome you to Forwood Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year!  As the principal, I’m eager to continue to build upon our strong Forwood foundation.  With your support, we will create a school of Forwood Thinkers!  A school devoted to excellence in teaching, learning and developing scholars who are college and career ready.

At Forwood, we believe in a strong home and school partnership.  I strongly encourage you to partner with us as your child begins his/her educational journey.  Together we can work as a team to address your child’s unique and individual needs, and collaboratively plan for his/her success in the classroom!

For those of you new to Forwood Elementary, please be sure to take a look at our 2019 2020 Family Handbook.  In it you will find helpful information, important dates and procedures that will assist you throughout the year.   To locate the handbook, go to the "Families" tab and click on "For Our Families" page.

Thank you for choosing Forwood Elementary for your child’s education.  Together, we can make 2019-2020 school year one of the best ever!

    Sincerely,

     Michael McDermott
