Meet the Principal

Welcome to Mount Pleasant High School!

 

As the Principal, I welcome our students and families to Mount Pleasant.  The home of the Green Knights was named the 5th ranked high school in the state of Delaware by USA News in 2019. We are proud of this distinguished honor and we look forward to continuing to uphold this standard.

 

Mount offers an excellent education where diversity of learning styles are honored and where individual differences are respected. Helping students take risks in a safe and nurturing environment, promotes a positive growth mindset. Our students will engage in learning critical thinking skills, collaboration, teamwork, and self-discipline as they take ownership for their learning. These skills go hand in hand with a well-rounded instructional staff. Our teachers will continue to provide students with opportunities to cultivate their individuality, while developing their content knowledge in the classroom. All of this will be accomplished by the partnership and collaboration of students, parents, and staff. 

 

My administrative team consist of Mr. Tiff McCullough, Mr. John Norton, and Mr. Rolph, Assistant Principals and Mr. Bill Wells, Dean of Students. Together we strive to uphold the highest standards of educating your students and instilling our mantra, MOUNT PRIDE. Students here will develop a sense of Pride, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Excellence. We welcome you to our Mount Family and we look forward to working alongside you over the next four years.
