The Great Thanksgiving Listen

Each year at Thankgiving, WMPH Radio students use the opportunity of the family gatherings that occur around the holiday to interview a family member - often a parent, guardian, or grandparent. Then, in the spirit of this oral storytelling initiative founded by Dave Isay of StoryCorps and sponsored by The National Archives and NPR, radio students return from Thanksgiving break with valuable archival audio which they learn to edit down with music to create short gems we nickname "GTLs" - because we are proud to be part of the Great Thanksgiving Listen!
