Hi, I'm Mr. Mark Overly!

This is my 9th year as principal at Carrcroft Elementary School, but my 14th as an administrator at Carrcroft. Prior to becoming an administrator, I was a 4th grade teacher at P.S. duPont Elementary School. My goal is to help develop the whole child. To do this, we have implemented several initiatives, including mindfulness, Bookworms, PBS, Eureka math, STEM, robotics, and many more.

Carrcroft prides itself on being a diverse school that serves all students. I have a lovely wife who teaches at Concord High School and three wonderful children. I have a 1st and 3rd grader that attend Carrcroft, and 6th grader who attends Springer Middle.

I have been a Brandywine School District employee throughout my whole career. I truly believe in the motto to “embrace, inspire and challenge every student every day.”
