School nurses play an important role in caring for the health and well-being of our students. All Brandywine School District schools have a full-time Delaware certified registered nurse on staff. Nurses receive additional education to work in the school setting. They are the school’s first responders and become first doers in providing care.
School nurses manage care for students with chronic conditions. They coordinate care between school and home, so kids can safely stay in class. Nurses are teachers, visiting classrooms to create a culture of health in the school community.
